Today my Dividend Portfolio increased by $77.06 to $16,624.11.

The best performer of the day was AD.TO, up by 1.51% or 41 cents to $27.57.

Freehold Royalties

The worst performer of the day was FRU.TO, down by 0.08% or 2 cents to $24.88. It's actually the only stock in my portfolio that was down. No big Deal!

The best performer of the day was VSN.TO, up by 2.05% or 34 cents to $16.95. The stock closed at 12 months high, gathering steam for a new break-out.

The worst performer of the day was AD.TO, down by 3.59% or $1.01 to $27.16.

Today my Dividend Portfolio increased by $153.08 to $16,518.41.

My energy stocks helped me reach new highs above the 16,500 level. I did not expect my portfolio to surpass that level in May since it's the start of sell off season. This year the markets are stronger comparing to the last year.

Portfolio Value Update - May 13, 2014

Today my Dividend Portfolio decreased by $13.50 to $16,367.94.

Half of the stocks went up, while another half went down. At the end of the day, the net balance is negative.

Pembina Pipeline
The best performer of the day was PPL.TO, up by 2.11% or 94 cents to $45.48. The stock rallied due to the positive Q1 earnings and during the day the stock reached as high as $46.56.

Liquor Stores

The worst performer of the day was LIQ.TO, down by 3.53% or 42 cents to $11.47. The stock sold off mainly due to the disappointing Q1 net earnings and operating margin. Management is implementing a seven-point plan to strengthen operations. This should start looking better as of Q3 2014.

Today my Dividend Portfolio increased by $145.79 to $16,383.64.

Rising commodity prices helped push the TSX higher. Most of my stocks advanced as well and only 3 names closed lower.

The best performer of the day was LTS.TO, up by 2.41% or 17 cents to $7.23. Great overall performance by LTS for the past 5 months. From low $5.20 to high $7.20, that's $2 or 38% increase in 5 months.

New Flyer Industries

The worst performer of the day was NFI.TO, down by 1.52% or 18 cents to $11.64. No worries here. NFI was just awarded a new contract for up to 180 natural gas powered buses.

Today my Dividend Portfolio decreased by $105.28 to $16,247.85.

I can say that the markets are officially in the profit taking season mode.

Pembina Pipeline
The best performer of the day was PPL.TO, up by 3.72% or $1.58 to $44.07. Pembina has reported a more than 60 per cent increase in first-quarter earnings and increased its dividend more than three per cent.

Wajax

The worst performer of the day was WJX.TO, down by 2.60% or 88 cents to $32.96.

Today my Dividend Portfolio decreased by $136.14 to $16,343.13.

Well, it looks like most of yesterday's gains got erased today. Most of my stocks are down even though they are reporting good quarters. Is today's pull back is the begging of the soft season correction? We'll see in a few weeks.

Great overall performance today. Most stocks gained and some stock rallied 3-4% intra-day.

The worst performer of the day was ECI.TO, down by 1.61% or 18 cents to $11.00.

The Canadian marker is down today by about 80 points, but my portfolio managed to gain due to the rally of my heavily weighted stocks. It's a very busy period right now with all those quarter results.

Dividend Income Report - April 2014

For the month of April, I received a total of $91.72 in dividends vs $96.20 for the same month a year ago. My dividend income decreased by 4.7 % on year over year basis, but increased by 10.2 % from the previous month. My total Year-to-Date dividend income for 2014 is $345.48.

So far, I'm on track to meet my dividend income goal for 2014.

Today my Dividend Portfolio increased by $98.99 to $16,166.17.

The Toronto stock market near 6-year high as earning news and US job data gave enough reasons for the markets to close higher. The S&P/TSX composite index gained 101.08 points to 14,765.15. As for my portfolio, many stocks closed higher.
