Important Announcement!

Hello everybody!

I have an important announcement to make. There will be some changes made to my blog updates. Instead of posting daily updates, I will do 1 post each month where I will cover my portfolio value, dividend income, transactions, and other changes.

I noticed that it's hard for my readers to follow my progress on daily basis. Furthermore, since I'm a long term dividend investor, there's no need for me to post daily value fluctuations. I'm focusing on monthly income rather than capital gains. I don't trade my stocks, I keep them for many many years.

So I though that it would be easier for everybody If I post once a month and cover everything.

Portfolio Value Update - July 14, 2014

Today my Dividend Portfolio decreased by $26.80 to $17,228.80.

Crescent Point (CPG.TO)
The best performer of the day was CPG.TO, up by 1.00% or 44 cents to $44.52.

Liquor Stores (LIQ.TO)

The worst performer of the day was LIQ.TO, down by 1.82% or 20 cents to $10.81. 

Portfolio Value Update - July 11, 2014

Today my Dividend Portfolio decreased by $74.15 to $17,255.60.

H&R Real Estate (HR-UN.TO)
The best performer of the day was HR-UN.TO, up by 0.95% or 22 cents to $23.33.

Lightstream Resources (LTS.TO)

The worst performer of the day was LTS.TO, down by 2.82% or 22 cents to $7.59. 

Portfolio Value Update - July 10, 2014

Today my Dividend Portfolio decreased by $131.50 to $17,329.75.

Riocan (REI-UN.TO)
The best performer of the day was REI-UN.TO, up by 0.56% or 15 cents to $26.90.

Crescent Point (CPG.TO)

The worst performer of the day was CPG.TO, down by 2.19% or one dollar to $44.67. 

Portfolio Value Update - July 9, 2014

Today my Dividend Portfolio decreased by $42.50 to $17,461.25.

As expected, the market did bounce back and many of my stocks recovered as well. However, some of my heavy weighted stocks did not participate in recovery, making my portfolio to close in a negative category.

Medical Facilities (DR.TO)
The best performer of the day was DR.TO, up by 1.18% or 20 cents to $17.15.

Lightstream Resources (LTS.TO)

The worst performer of the day was LTS.TO, down by 1.26% or 10 cents to $7.81. 

Portfolio Value Update - July 8, 2014

Today my Dividend Portfolio decreased by $84.70 to $17,503.75.

The markets are down for the second consecutive day. I think this is just profit taking, but the long-term fundamentals are strong. The earning season is coming up soon and investors are selling shares. A lot of shares pulled back to their support levels so technically the markets should bounce back tomorrow. If they don't, then it we could have a more serious correction in the near future. And that, will be a buying opportunity.

Enercare
The best performer of the day was ECI.TO, up by 0.74% or 9 cents to $12.24. Enercare is slowly but surely moving higher, ignoring the market correction. For anyone who is looking to buy ECI shares, I would wait for a little pull back. Or, buy 50% position here and 50% position on a pull back. This way you start to collect some dividends while you wait for a pull back.

The worst performer of the day was LTS.TO, down by 2.94% or 24 cents to $7.91. 

Portfolio Value Update - July 7, 2014

Today my Dividend Portfolio decreased by $105.20 to $17,588.45.

The whole energy sector is down today and all of my energy stocks got hit. Only a few stocks closed in positive territory.

Alaris Royalty
The best performer of the day was AD.TO, up by 2.07% or 60 cents to $29.65.

Medical Facilities

The worst performer of the day was DR.TO, down by 4.38% or 79 cents to $17.24. 

Portfolio Value Update - July 4, 2014

Today my Dividend Portfolio increased by $55.35 to $17,693.65.

Enercare
The best performer of the day was ECI.TO, up by 1.23% or 15 cents to $12.30. This stock never disappoints. It keeps on going higher and higher. The dividend yield is about 6.5% which is very sustainable.

The worst performer of the day was LTS.TO, down by 1.43% or 12 cents to $8.26. 

Portfolio Value Update - July 3, 2014

Today my Dividend Portfolio increased by $63.10 to $17,749.00.

Lightstream Resources
The best performer of the day was LTS.TO, up by 1.82% or 15 cents to $8.38. A few weeks ago, LTS reached $9 and then it sold off to $8. The sell off is done and now it has to reach the resistance level again. If it fails, the stock could loose another dollar.

Crescent Point

The worst performer of the day was CPG.TO, down by 1.02% or 48 cents to $46.44. 

Dividend Income Report - June 2014

For the month of June, I received a total of $87.54 in dividends vs $95.74 for the same month a year ago. My dividend income decreased by 8.6 % on year over year basis mainly due to dividend cut by LTS . My total Year-to-Date dividend income for 2014 is $520.24.

So far, I'm on track to meet my dividend income goal for 2014.

Portfolio Value Update - July 2, 2014

Today my Dividend Portfolio increased by $62.15 to $17,685.90.

Veresen
The best performer of the day was VSN.TO, up by 2.13% or 40 cents to $19.15. This stock continues to outperform the market and my other energy stocks. Today it had another leg up and closed at all time high.

Baytex Energy

The worst performer of the day was BTE.TO, down by 0.89% or 44 cents to $48.81. This stock is preparing to test $47.50 support level.
