Portfolio Value Update - June 2021

Welcome back to my blog. I hope you’re doing well and enjoying the summer. June is now behind us and it’s time to report my monthly progress.

Portfolio Value
In June, my portfolio value increased by $3,130 from $123,774 to $126,904. The increase is attributed exclusively to stocks appreciation. I did not add any new funds to my accounts.

Dividends
Dividends received in June 2021: $443.67
Dividends received in June 2020: $361.07
Year-Over-Year Dividend Growth: $82.60 or 23%
Year-To-Date Dividend Income: $2,738.26

My dividend income was short by approx. $26 because I sold Brookfield Property Partners (BPY.UN). I reinvested the cash but it will take a few months for new dividends to reflect in the account.

Adsense revenue from my YouTube channel increased by 416% compared to last year. One of my newer videos did really well in June, contributing 42% to YouTube revenue. YouTube revenue fluctuates a lot and it could be down significantly next month.

June 2020: $235.65

June 2021 YouTube Stats:

    1. I upload about 10 videos per month. For each hour of content, about 3 to 4 hours is spent for post production, rendering and uploading. So about 40 hours per month or 10 hours per week.
