In September, my portfolio value decreased by $8,370 from $151,875 to $143,505. That’s a big drop for my portfolio. Too bad I don’t have any contribution room to invest in my TFSA. I’d love to pick up some of the cheap bank stocks. I will continue reinvesting the dividends on monthly basis until next year.
Dividends
Dividends received in September 2023: $725.22
Dividends received in September 2022: $647.13
Year-Over-Year Dividend Growth: $78.09 or 12%
Year-To-Date Dividend Income: $6,279.74
Dividend income never disappoints. That’s a great chunk of change and a good year over year growth considering that I’m only reinvesting the dividends. Next month however, I will receive a bit less because one of my REITs reduced the distribution. This will result in a drop of around $20 per month.
Transactions
Bought 3 shares of TC Energy (TRP.TO) for $49.34 per share
Bought 25 shares of RioCan (REI.UN.TO) for $18.86 per share
In September, I did a few small transactions. My TFSA account is maxed out so I simply reinvested the dividends.
