In May, my portfolio value increased by $4,837 from 154,744 to $159,581. The stock market performed well in May, but got a little volatile towards the end of the month. I’m glad to see the number approaching 160K mark again. I need to get over that threshold to see continued positive momentum.

Year-Over-Year Dividend Growth: $77.18 or 11.14%
Year-To-Date Dividend Income: $3,785.73
The dividend growth is at 11.14% compared to the same period of last year. The growth rate is sustained by dividend reinvesting and dividend increases.

Bought 10 shares of Smart Centres (SRU.UN.TO) for $22.26 per share
Bought 10 shares of Telus (T.TO) for $22.06 per share
Bought 10 shares of RioCan REIT (REI.UN.TO) for $16.99 per share
All purchases were funded by dividends. As of 2024, I have a new contribution room of $7,000 in my TFSA Account. I didn’t start funding my TFSA yet because I’m prioritizing accelerated mortgage payments in the first half of this year. I will probably contribute to my TFSA in Q3. Meanwhile, I will continue reinvesting the dividends.
Ads Revenue
In May, I collected $311.14 in adsense revenue from my YouTube channel. It was the best month of this year however; it’s still historically very low. I had months making over 1K per month on YouTube. Things have changed, but I was happy to see a slight uptick in earnings.
