Portfolio Value Update - February 2026

Portfolio Value
In February, my portfolio grew by $15,848, increasing from $234,169 to $250,017, marking my largest monthly gain to date. I contributed $2,000 of new capital to my TFSA, though the majority of the increase came from market appreciation. Looking ahead, I anticipate the possibility of a market correction in March, particularly given the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Elevated energy prices could place upward pressure on costs across the broader economy, which may weigh on market performance.

Portfolio Value Update - January 2026

Portfolio Value
In January, my portfolio increased by $10,311, rising from $223,858 to $234,169. This represented a notable gain, particularly in light of market weakness in technology stocks. Due to the absence of technology exposure, my portfolio performed better than expected. Although I contributed $2,000 to my TFSA during the month, the majority of the increase was attributable to stock appreciation.

The stock market continued to go higher, braking through all-time highs every week. We’ll see how January plays out. At least I have a new contribution room of $7,000 in my TFSA account.
