Portfolio Value Update - February 2022

Last month I wrote about the tensions in Eastern Europe and in February the war broke out between Russia and Ukraine. My prayers to all people affected in such pointless fight. Unfortunately, in all conflicts, it’s the peaceful; working-class citizens that has to suffer for the wrong-doing of stubborn politicians.


Portfolio Value
In February, my portfolio value increased by $5,885 from $151,054 to $156,939. It was a volatile month for the markets, especially since the war broke out. My plan regarding investing remains the same: continue to buy stocks.

 


Dividends
Dividends received in February 2022: $548.57
Dividends received in February 2021: $449.80
Year-Over-Year Dividend Growth: $98.77 or 21.95%
Year-To-Date Dividend Income: $1,101.21

Cash Account:

• Bought 25 shares of Brookfield Renewable (BEPC.TO) for $44.69 per share
• Bought 60 shares of Algonquin Power (AQN.TO) for $17.68 per share
• Bought 28 shares of Capital Power (CPX.TO) for $39.64 per share

TFSA Account:

• Bought 150 shares of Diversified Royalty (DIV.TO) for $3.07 per share

Ads Revenue
In February, I collected $506.23 in adsense revenue from my YouTube channel. This was the lowest month in the past 12 months. I posted fewer videos and had fewer views than usual. All of this has contributed to lower income.
