In April, my portfolio value increased by $3,904 from $150,713 to $154,617. The markets continued to recover helping my portfolio get to the same level it was a month ago. The stocks that performed very well this month were: Bell (BCE.TO), Canadian Utilities (CU.TO), Capital Power (CPX.TO), Fortis (FTS.TO), North West (NWC.TO), and Restaurant Brands (QSR.TO).
Dividends
Dividends received in April 2023: $690.09
Dividends received in April 2022: $605.33
Year-Over-Year Dividend Growth: $87.76 or 14%
Year-To-Date Dividend Income: $2,708.32
April was another great month for passive income. The dividends are inching closer to a steady $700 a month. That was also a great double-digit growth.
Transactions
Bought 3 shares of CIBC (CM.TO) for $57.29 per share
Bought 27 shares of Smart REIT (SRU.UN.TO) for $26.56 per share
I just did two small purchases by reinvesting the dividends. Next month I plan to buy more stocks. I have $3000 of unused contribution room in my TFSA account. I might pick up some beaten up stocks.
Ads Revenue
In April, I collected $321.14 in adsense revenue from my YouTube channel. YouTube earnings are down for year ago because I’m posting less videos. I plan to post more videos in summer.
